Date : 2026-05-19
• Accelerates Expansion into Latin American Market and Strengthens Global Medical Robot Supply Network
CUREXO, a medical robotics company led by CEO Lee Jae-jun, announced on May 19 that it has signed a contract to supply its orthopedic surgical robot, CUVIS-joint, to Paraguay.
The agreement was signed with Droguepar S.A, a medical device company in Paraguay. Through this contract, CUREXO plans to accelerate its entry into the Latin American medical robotics market.
CUVIS-joint analyzes a patient's CT scans in 3D prior to surgery to establish an optimized surgical plan. During surgery, the robot arm precisely cuts bone, maximizing surgical accuracy while minimizing side effects.
Last year, CUREXO supplied medical robots to Latin American countries including Brazil, laying the groundwork for expansion in the region. With the Paraguay agreement, the company intends to further strengthen its network across the Latin American market. According to the company, it also plans to expand into major regional markets such as Mexico in the future.
A CUREXO official stated, "This agreement represents a meaningful achievement in expanding our presence in the Latin American market," adding, "Based on close cooperation with our local partner, we will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the global medical robotics market."
