CUREXO Secures Domestic Approval for Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA) Robot 'CUVIS-joint THA'

  • Expansion of Indications from Knee to Hip Surgerical Robots… Enhanced Surgical Accuracy and Convenience with AI


Medical robotics company CUREXO announced on the 2nd that it has obtained product approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for its total hip arthroplasty (THA) surgical robot, "CUVIS-joint THA."


With this approval, CUREXO has expanded its product portfolio by adding hip indications to its existing knee joint replacement surgical robot, "CUVIS-joint."


CUVIS-joint THA is equipped with AI-based automatic segmentation of hip CT images, surgical planning software, precision robotic control technology, and a user-friendly UI to enhance surgical convenience.

Based on this domestic approval, CUREXO plans to accelerate its global market entry by also pursuing overseas certifications, including the U.S. FDA and European CE approval for hip surgery.


A CUREXO representative stated, "By integrating AI and robotic control technology, we have improved surgical accuracy and user convenience. We will continue to invest in R&D to strengthen our competitiveness in the global surgical robot market."
